1. Use a SIM eject tool or a paperclip to eject the SIM tray from the side of your iPhone. If you don't have a SIM eject tool, you can use a paperclip.
2. Insert the new SIM card into the tray—it will fit only one way, because of the notch. Then insert the tray back into your iPhone completely and in the same orientation that you removed it. Give it a gentle push until it clicks into place.
3. That's it! Now you can power on your iPhone and start using it with your new carrier.
If your iPhone is running low on battery and needs a charge, you may be thinking about changing the battery yourself. After all, it seems like a pretty simple process- just pop in a new battery and you're good to go, right?
Wrong. There's a lot more to changing an iPhone battery than just putting in a new one. In fact, if you don't do it correctly, you could damage your phone beyond repair.
That's why we've put together this step-by-step guide on how to change an iPhone battery. Just follow the instructions below and you'll have your phone up and running again in no time.
1. Put in the new Battery: The first step is to remove the old battery from your iPhone. To do this, you'll need to unscrew the two screws that hold the back cover in place. Once the screws are removed, carefully pry off the back cover using a thin object like a plastic opening tool or a credit card.
With the back cover off, you should see the battery glued down to the inside of the phone. Using a plastic opening tool or your fingernail, carefully lift up one end of the battery so that you can get underneath it with another tool. Gently pry the battery out of its socket being careful not to damage any of the surrounding components.
Once the old battery is out, take your new battery and insert it into place making sure that
1. Flip your iPhone over and locate the small oval opening at the bottom of the phone.
2. Insert a plastic opening tool or your thumbnail into the opening and pry open the back panel. If the back panel is difficult to remove, try applying a little pressure to the top and bottom of the phone while you prie the panel open.
3. Once the back panel is open, locate the battery connector on the upper left side of the phone (it will be labeled with a "+" sign).
4. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws holding down the battery connector cover.
5. Lift up on the battery connector cover to remove it, then disconnect the battery connector by pulling it straight up and out of its socket.
1. Test out your new battery
2. Remove the old battery
3. Install the new battery
4. Check for proper connectivity
5. Replace the case and screw in the new screws
6. Power on your device and test it out!
